LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE

Thirty Five Years

Thirty Five Years
Not just alive and on the planet
But hooked and hitched
To my pal Janet
Or Mary as She’s often known
The wind from the east
Where wild oats were sown

Thirty Five Years
From lad to dad
Mostly good, sometimes bad
And orphaned along the way
Sad to say
But while there’s Jean
There’ll always be a card

Thirty Five Years
The wrinkles spread
And the road back’s longer
Than the road ahead
Thinking of it makes me smile
But the future’s real
And fate still spins the wheel

Thirty five years
Since that toast was said
And we both kissed
And our vows were read
Nerves on show,
“On behalf of my wife and I..”
Thanks to you all for dropping by.

Sand Sun Sea And Sky

Sand sun sea and sky
The wind in your face
As the day goes by
Sun sand sky and sea
The warmth of the love
That you give to me
Sea sky sand and sun
The glow of your skin
And the sound of a drum
Sky sea sun and sand
Is the beat of my heart
As I take your hand.

Everythin'

Sometimes touching her skin
Is everythin'
Sometimes just her heat
Swaying slowly to an inner beat
Pause time
Press repeat
Close your eyes
And drink her in
That my friend
Is everythin'.

My Only Valentine

How did we both know
All those years ago
That we were meant to be?
That you were meant for me
And I for you?

In all of space and time
That chance should make you mine
And you, would make me shine
Fate's arrow travelled true.

My glass of sparkling wine
My shock of coral vine
The one in whom the fates combine
My only Valentine
(The bride of Frankenstein)

Have You

Have you ever looked and had your breath taken away?
Have you ever seen and your mind went astray?
Have you ever wished and wished wishes came true?
Have you ever closed your eyes and imagined her with you?

Have you?

Krackers in Kraków

You know when you meet and you're all in love
Then it doesn't wear off like some gift from above.
Well let the years crash by and the chapters accrue
Let the love be tempered and quenched in the stew.
Those lines life drew on me and you
Remind the past to savor us two
Though the world she moans
And the universe groans
We pass through their portals
Mortals not drones
Testimony to the genius of time
Forever I'm yours and forever you're mine.

A Little Candle

I lit a little candle today
I said a little prayer
And where mind's thoughts did stray
They took me gently to her

Through rose scented parks we stepped out
Strolled along hewn stone paths
Moist hands clasped to dispel all doubt
Eyes sparkled as her smiles crystallised into tinkling laughs

Hearts cradled in each others care
Fragile as time does allow
Sweet passion in the mingling breathe that we share
Happily trading all the tomorrows for right now

Paradise

If paradise was twice as nice
As the bliss of a kiss
When I sip your lips then
See the joy rise in your eyes
There's no price men devise
No exotic spice, no material device
Or roll of the dice or slice of luck
That would suffice or make me sacrifice
Or prise a look in a secret book
No wise man, no icy fingers
No rising star, no celestial singers
Would ever entice or make me waver
Or want to savour any other flavour
No lottery prize or chemical highs
No human vice or earthly ties
If Gods ascend or missiles end
If mountains fall or angels call
Would ever for a seconds fraction
Give me any cause or distraction
Or any other satisfaction
Attraction, abstraction or reaction
To split my focus by subtraction
    From
              You
                     Or
                          The
                                 Things
                                             That
                                                     You
                                                            Do

Soft Love

Soft love in the shadows of your heart
Soft gentle love In the folds of your smile
Soft, gentle, inviting love In the promise of your embrace.
Deep love in the depths of your eyes
Deep, warm love in the heat of your touch
Deep, warm, ageless love stretched across time.

Love Is

Love is a scarf we wrap to keep out the cold.
Love never grows old.

Love is the seed we sow

Love is a bobble hat worn on a frosty morn.
Love is the dawn.

Love is the joy we grow

Love is the tingle in our cheeks when we come in to the fire
Love is desire.

Love is our heart in flow

Love is the shine in your eyes when they look into mine
Love is Divine.

Love is our soul on show

Love is what we say whispered at the end of the day
Love is the way.

Love is all we truly know

The Day You Were Born

The day you were born

I was six years old.

Already at school

And it was my schooling

Or the lack of it, ultimately

That brought us together

Just 16 short years later

From the moment I saw your face

Witnessed you smile

Felt the shock of electricity

Behind those piercing eyes

I was then

And have been ever since

In your command

We shared the sunrise

We shared the blossom

We shared the fruit

And now as darkness falls

We share the night

Hands together

Eyes closed tight

Flashing images

Light up our minds

People and places

Objects and signs

Twice distilled all that we know

Hold on to each other

And never let go.

I'm In Heaven, I'm Always Here, Down In The Fire. (10w)
